This compact garden Salvia (sage) with crimson red flowers attracts loads of hummingbirds and bumblebees and is an excellent choice in your Western Oregon garden. This pollinator magnet won't take up the same huge footprint in your garden as the closely related and hugely popular 'Hotlips' variety. Like its larger sibling it is drought tolerant and hardy once established and will perform fantastically in a sunny part of your garden provided it has good drainage. We recommend purchasing a trio of them (if you have room) to provide a bounty of rich nectar in your backyard wildlife oasis from May until the first hard frost (Nov or Dec).
